Manager’s Corner

Update 7/29/09

This season has been nothing short of FANTASTIC for the 2009 13-Blue team.  Regular season play is now complete along with the final NSBL tournament.  With a very impressive 31-7 regular season wining record the Scouts continue to play exciting and very competitive baseball.  This is a very talented team that has a very bright future especially as they prepare for high school in 2010/2011.

Unofficially, the team finished in 2^nd place in Mike’s Memorial League with an impressive 20 - 2 winning record.  I say unofficially because many of the teams have several games yet to play and the league has not declared an official end of season date.  That said no team could catch-up to the Scouts record. 

For NSBL, the Scouts finished regular season play with a #3 seed for the NSBL tournament that was held the weekend of July 24^th.  The team made it into the third round and lost in the single elimination tournament in the semi-finals.  The Scouts can be proud of their 3rd place finish against some intense competition. 

Congratulations to all of the players for a truly exceptional season.  Have a great break and see you next season.
